Hertfordshire: Healthy Streets Index county-wide

In 2023 Hertfordshire County Council commissioned a Healthy Streets Index for their county.

This is part of a programme of work to embed the Healthy Streets Approach in Hertfordshire over the last five year. This has included bespoke training for staff in highway engineering, transport strategy, public health, planning and sustainability plus elected members from county and district levels.

The Healthy Streets Index provides a data set that has been integrated with their other mapping data e.g. Place and Movement. This enables them to easily incorporate Healthy Streets into identifying opportunities, prioritising policies and projects, addressing inequalities and tracking their long-term goal to deliver Healthy Streets.
